Working for a British Manufacturer

Pland has been manufacturing stainless steel products in their Leeds factory for over a century and they have employed and trained generations of local families over that period.  Today they employ 43 people from all corners of Yorkshire to sell, design, laser-cut, weld, bend, polish, assemble and deliver, largely commercial stainless steel products, across the UK.

“It’s very satisfying to design a product that provides a solution for a customer and our product range varies enormously. Seeing it through from brief to a working component involves many stages and many skills and we are always on the lookout for the right people to join our team.” Says MD Steve Duree, who joined the business over 40 years ago.

Pland is a relatively small manufacturer with a big name and quality reputation. It’s small enough that everyone plays an integral part in the team and large enough to learn a trade from an experienced bunch of specialists. They regularly appoint apprentices to join the team, they are valuable members and will learn lifelong skills whether that be in design, sales, procurement or manufacturing.  Pland will be attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on the 7^th February at the First Direct Arena to recruit the next batch of employees and secure the future success of Pland Stainless.
