Pland’s Financial Controller, Russell Haigh, is to appear on tonight’s BBC Look North programme.
The business was visited by Spencer Stokes, Business correspondent for the BBC, where they talked about the cost of living crisis and what Pland was doing as a business to reduce their use of energy and how they were helping their staff.
Russell explained that the total energy bill for Pland Stainless, including gas and electric, has jumped from £110,000 a year to over £400,ooo a year. To help reduce costs they have reduced the temperature in the factory by 3 degrees and given staff warmer thermal workwear and they have also tried to assist them personally with a financial bonus earlier in the year.
Watch the programme on BBC iPlayer or see it tonight at 6.30pm if you live in the Yorkshire area.
