After 17 years with the business, Dean Johnson has been promoted to the position of Operations Manager at Pland Stainless, his new role will take effect from 1st June 2023.

The new position will see Dean assume responsibility for both the technical and production functions of this Leeds engineering and manufacturing business. He will bring lots of experience and expertise to the role having worked at Pland since 2006 when he joined the group as a Development Engineer. Dean has been heading the Technical and Purchasing functions of the business for the past six years and the new role adds Production to his responsibility.  This new position has been formed as Alison Harling, who has been Production Manager at the business since 2015, retires at the end of May.

“I am excited to get stuck into this new role, it gives us the opportunity to work more cohesively as one larger team to enhance productivity, optimise processes and ensure that all the team collaborate to ensure the smooth functioning of production processes.” Said Dean.

Steve Duree, MD of Pland adds: “Dean is an experienced operator in this skilled area of creating commercial products in stainless steel. I wish him all the very best in this new role and I am confident that the team will work closer together under his guidance.”
