Universal Access
Public
facilities are as important for accessibility and function for people
with disabilities as they are for able-bodied people. Because one in
four people become physically disabled at some time in their life,
designers are increasingly expected to provide facilities that can be
used by all.
The principle of universal access means that
fixtures and fittings are usable by people with all types and levels of
ability. It avoids items that are different looking and which might
stigmatise people with disabilities. Pland's range of sanitaryware and
washroom products appropriate for universal access meet these criteria.
Sturdiness is a prerequisite as fittings must frequently bear
the whole weight of the user without wobbling or creating uncertainty
for users. Because of its strength stainless steel is highly
appropriate for such situations.
Pland's range of accessories
recognises the requirements of universal access and meets them in
environments which are often prone to vandalism.
You can print view and datasheets for every one of Pland’s products from each
