Our stainless steel products are used in commercial kitchens, catering, hospitals, prisons, police stations, dairies, bakeries, ham curing and cheese production, fish storage, ice cream manufacture, clubs, public house, bars, schools, retail premises, shopping malls, offices, laboratories, veterinary clinics, doctors’ surgeries, mortuaries and autopsy rooms. Pland's range of healthcare products comprises standard items designed for healthcare use and washbasins and other products specifically designed to comply with Health Technical Memoranda HTM63 and HTM64.

Stainless steel grades used by Pland are 304, for normal temperatures and low acid concentrations, and 316 for harsher environments.

304 (EN 1.4301 or SS 2333; AFNOR Z 6 CN 18-09; BS 304S31) is the basic chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel for a wide range of applications.

316 (EN1.4401 or SS 2347; AFNOR Z 7 CND 17-11-01; BS 316S31) offers even greater corrosion resistance through the addition of molybdenum. This grade is desirable where the possibility of severe corrosion exists, such as heavy industrial atmospheres and marine environments.
